We will be flying from Russia and would like to see one of these two places. Which would you choose as a place to see things and scenery? Thanks!
Brendon,
Sorry but I can only answer 1/2 your question - we've only been to Krakow. With that said I can tell unequivocaly that Krakow was a delight during our 3 night stay (mid-June 2012). The Medieval Square is superb, walking tours are plentiful, old Jewish quarter is both historical and a bit bohemian. Dining, bars and cafe are all affordable and are part of a lively scene. Enjoy.
Hi, Ideally both are worth a visit of at least four full days. If this is your first visit to Poland, I would say Krakow, a lovely city. Are you flying from Russia to Krakow specifically. I know that Wizzair goes to Gdansk (Danzig), don't know if from Russia. I took the train to Gdansk, a ten hour ride.
I was just in both during a trip that also included Warsaw. Gdansk is really wonderful, but Krakow is unmissable.
If you have to choose, choose Krakow.
