I just did a Kayak.com search using your dates, and it shows availability at over 100 hotels/B&Bs/hostels with rates ranging from $12 - $250 USD per night. What site were you using??

I am going there at the beginning of June and wanted to look up a few hotels and saw lots of hotels and apartments available. For May as well as June. Went to specific hotel sites and bookings.com and tripadvisor.
Good luck... I got a few specific recommendations here and found Globetrotter Guest House and a few others that looked okay.

I would advise against Hotel Polonia. You could definitely do better. Personally, I recommend staying in Kazmierez, the former Jewish quarter. Check out letsgo.com, they have some recommendations. Hotel Polonia looked nice on the website, but was pretty run down and noisy. Also, just in case you were wondering, there are only 2 laundromats in Krakow and they are not close to the city centre. A fact I wish I would have known ;)

We enjoyed the Globtroter Guest House a couple of years ago. It appears to have availability for your dates. Good luck.

I booked the Globtroter (hoping that is the Polish name for globetrotter) not sure I want to be a Glob...
looks good and has great reviews. Emails from owners have been very helpful already.
