krakow hostels or guest rooms

I can't help with a hostel or live music, but there's several Polish restaurants around the main old town square. At least as of 3 years ago, they were very cheap by Western European standards.

We stayed in hotel Saski. Nice experience. Very close to Glowny Rynek (Main Square). Restaurant with typical polish food and polish folksongs is Morskie Oko. They have a folk band which plays goralske (mountaineers) songs from the area around Zakopane. The restaurant is also close to Glowny Rynek.

I would suggest Greg/Tom hostel. I stayed for 6 nights and it was my best experience in a hostel to date.
