Kicked off Russian sleeper cars at final destination?

I've seen in the Thomas Cook timetables that many Russian overnight trains are scheduled to arrive at their final destination ridiculously early in the morning: four or five am. Do you know if they allow passengers to carry on sleeping aboard the train until a more sensible time, or kick them off?

NO!!!!!!!!!! Trains are on a schedule and cannot sit around waiting for sleepy heads to wake up.

UK night trains have beds you can sleep in, so in that respect they are like a hotel. The whole moving thing: less hotel-like.

They do, if they arrive at their final destination in the early hours, let you stay on until 08.00 or so. This is not uncommon elsewhere on the continent either so it is a perfectly sensible question to ask about Russia.

Are the night trains in the UK like a hotel?

As a tourist I would never "assume" that I can stay on board a train just because the arrival time is inconvenient to me. The rules are similar to hotels in that there is a definite arrival window and departure time. If those times inconvenience me I guess I can pay for a late checkout if available, but if the room is already booked or the train compartment is already booked then I would assume I have to vacate.

No one, to my knowledge, is assuming anything.

The OP asked a question, which is pretty much the opposite of making an assumption. A perfectly reasonable question at that as many other night train services allow a similar waiting period.

Of course trains don't wait at stops for the convenience of passengers and naturally have a schedule to keep. The last stop of a night train is a special case, night trains tend to run at night so when they arrive early in the morning they have no where to go immediately so it is quite normal for them to stay in the station and allow passengers to stay on board until a more reasonable hour.
