I'm planning a trip to Greece in May 2013 & would like to include a 3-5 day kayaing tour. I'm open to camping, overnights at inns, or some combination. Any recommendations for tour companies and/or favorite kayaking spots?

Hi Bethany There's a super Kayak outfit on the south coast of crete, but their trips run 7 days.. maybe you could arrange to cut it short to 5 days. It's an "inn to Inn" Kayak adventure so best of all worlds/adventurous day + comfort at night. The editor of "gogreece.about.com" went on this trip & described it enthusiatically a couple years back in a special piece. Another attractive option is on Milos http://www.seakayakgreece.com/ this outfit offers guided DAY trips. I was in Milos last may for 2nd time; the isle is DIVINE ... and coastline is most exciting of Cyclades ... cliffs, caves etc. U can kayak, then also take a boat or catamaran coastal trip (I like the cat trip that goes 1/2 way round; stops for swims & beach BBQs). You will LOVE Milos has scores of enchanting beaches, amazing landscapes (it's volcanic), great history, NO tour groups, v. cheap lodgings in May... to explore interiors etc would require car or scooter, but kayaking would allow u to reach beaches.
