Kastamonu market, Istanbul

Hello, There are many posts about how great this Sunday market is, the Kastamonu Market on Kasimipasa. No one seems willing to say HOW to get to it, other than that you should arrive early. I don't care where the directions start from, Taksim, Eminonu, Sultanahmet...can any one advise?

Hi, Thanks. So the link shows the market in the middle of a four-lane highway interchange. Interesting, but probably accurate. Now the question is, "how does a person get there?"

Ok...I checked out the map and it's in the Beyoglu neighborhood. To save yourself time and frustration, just take a taxi from Taksim (major transportation hub in Beyoglu - off the subway line stop). The taxi shouldn't cost you much and it will save you grief of walking on confusing, hilly, and busy streets...getting lost can be really fun or frustrating, depending on your outlook. The market looks like its right off a bus stop(Piyalepasha Boulevard) so you can also try that option (I only took one bus up the Bosphorus - different area - but that one wasn't hard to figure out)

Ask your question on tripadvisor.com, Istanbul forum, where there are several Istanbul residents -- Enigma and Borus -- that will tell you how and when to get there.
