We are leaving in a few days for Prague, Cesky Krumlov and beyond. Any suggestions for trvael between Prague and C.K.? The student agency buses look pretty inexpensive and appear to be the fastest option.

Jim, Student Agency is definitely the way to go! Book your tickets online before you go, their buses fill up fast. Prague to and from CK is exactly three hours through their bus, and that includes 3 quick stops in cities in between to pick up/drop off people that are not going the entire route. They didn't send me my eticket till I requested it from Prague, so you may want to make sure you have that before you leave. If you will have pc access/iphone with you, then you will be fine. There's a metro stop that takes you right to the parking lot that the buses leave from... yellow line, Andel stop. Depending of where you come out, you may or may not be at the bus lot. If you did like we did in the morning, we got out of the metro and into a busy street. Just go right out of the metro exit and the bus lot will be less than 1 km down the street.

Thanks Monica. Just bought our bus tickets. Do you need to print anything out or just provide them (the driver?) with the eticket #?

They just wanted the confirmation number, I just handed them my phone. It's a team of two, the driver and a stewardess type person who will offer you a complimentary drink each way.

Hello, we are leaving for Prague this Sunday. How's the renovation for Charles Bridge coming along? Can people still walk across it?

Hi Shirley, Renovation is still underway with a few of the statues covered, but maybe a total of three. The rest of them were exposed and the bridge was open to pedestrians. We went to the castle quarter early in the morning (9:00)and were able to see the bridge and take some good photos. By the time we came back down mid afternoon it was super busy with tourists, performers and street vendors. Have fun!

I second the Student Agency Bus! We had plenty of people tell us that a day trip to C.K was a bad idea[INVALID] but we thought it was perfect. Took the early bus there in the morning (I think the 8am), arriving in time to look around, have lunch, tour the castle, stroll the shops, have a quick dinner, and hop back on the bus (last bus of the day[INVALID] I think it was 6pm) and arriving in Prague before 10pm. A fantastic way to see a lovely town!
