June/July weather for Eastern European Tour trip

We would like to do the RS Eastern European tour but can not go until near the end of June 2013. I had hoped to book the June 17 to July 2 trip but it filled quickly. The June 20 to July 5 is still open. I noted comments of the weather in Hungary being very hot on this tour in 2012. Will the weather towards the end of the trip, in the Slovenia area, be to warm to b comfortable. Should we just book the June 20th trip or put in to be waitlisted for the June 17th tour, will the three additional days make much difference on the weather towards the end of the trip? Would we be better off to wait until 2014 when we can begin this tour mid-May and end in June?

I can respond to budapest. Its not so much that it is too hot outside, its more to the point that there isnt much AC inside in Europe in general. Go to one of the internet weather sites and you can find the daily average for any date. I would add 5F to the highs for the current warming trend. Also know that the theaters close in the summer so you may want to check those dates if you are interested in the opera or ballet. Dress appropriately, no what to expect and have fun wigh it Nd you will have a great time. Oh, June can be wet too so bring an umbrella or a couple cheap throw away rain ponchos. Have fun. You will love it.

Don, we were in Hungary Slovenia and Croatia this summer during the same timeframe you are considering. The days were warm but much more pleasant than Philly in the summer. The week before we arrived the temp was rainy and cool. Dress cool and go for it!
Full disclosure: I always book our B&Bs or small hotels with AC; that may not be the case with RS Tours.
