hi! can you do rick steves' self guided driving tour of the julian alps from the opposite direction ? we will be going to bled from piran and I was wondering if we could drive thru kobarid, bovek, julian alps before edning up in bled.

You can take the mountain road in either direction.

My wife and I did this last summer (left Kobarid and went to Bled) and there is no problem with it. We had Ricks book and you just have to work backward for the points of interest along the way.
