The local commuter rail system leaving from the station and going around the old city peninsula to the airport is closed. The tracks are torn up awaiting replacement. There is bus service but the traffic really picks up at rush hours. This noted as we followed Rick's directions for getting to and from the aquarium and discovered they're really out of date. The aquarium free shuttle still runs. The Rahmi Koc museum on the Golden Horn is really first class if you're interested in transportation history. The old steam tugboat is a fun ride!
