Most of the popular hotels in Istanbul rave about the view from the top terrace (often where breakfast is served). But we are finding very few that mention the rooms having a balcony (or, at the least, a view of the Sea traffic from the room window). Is this an unreasonable feature to seek in Istanbul? Have you stayed in a property that had a room with a view?
Keri -
I noticed you haven't received any responses, so here are a couple of hotels that advertise sea views. They are hotels used by Rick's tours so I don't know if they are in the Istanbul book.
Haven't stayed at either one, but we have a reservation for the second one in September.
Best Western Obelisk - Advertises rooms with sea views. Don't have the direct website, but it comes up on Best Western.
Hotel Sumengen - Advertises sea view rooms with jacuzzis and some deluxe partial sea view rooms. From the pictures it looks like the highest room category has a balcony with a view. www.sumengenhotel.com
Barut's Majestic Hotel has a rooftop lounge area from which you can see the Bosphorus.
The Hanedan Hotel has a family room with a sea view. I'm sure there are more.
