I'm attempting to book 3 buses for my trip in May via the Eurolines website. I was all set to pay and they give Visa as an option and the website is bringing back errors. I called my bank and my card is good to go so they think it's on the other end of things. For any of you that have booked via the website for Baltic States did you have any issues?

Hi, Ali. I had the same problem last fall booking Eurolines from Tallinn to Riga and Riga to Vilnius, and ended up having my hotel in STPB make the arrangements. However, the buses weren't full so we could have bought tickets at the bus station on the day of travel. Ya just never know...

Thanks Ash. I really don't want to wait to book. I'm not as worried about the Vilnius to Riga, Riga to Tallinn but am worried about the Tallinn to STPB. That bus is a long one and the only morning bus is a Lux Express Special (with I think, 11 seats total) and there are not any regular Lux Express's showing up I think for the rest of the day (they just changed the schedule) - It's such a long bus ride that I would prefer something more comfortable. I emailed them so I'll see what happens.

Hi, Ali. There are several buses a day from Tallinn to STPB. I wouldn't limit myself to only the Lux Express, because the regular Eurolines buses are great-the seats are wide, reclining and are very comfortable.

Hi Ash - Given it's a 6 hour ride and I hate buses...we would prefer the first bus which also happens to be the Special. We are generally very early risers so the first one makes the most sense for us.

I had posted about this also in the verified by visa thread over in the Boot. My Bank of America nor Barclay's cards would not work booking on the website (and coincidentally not Verified by Visa partners) but when I tried the CapitalOne (which is registered with Verified by Visa)...the booking went through and the tickets got sent to my email address!!! (I had tried to "activate" the card via Verified by Visa but it would appear it's down for maintenance right now.)
