Is this car a good deal? Split, Croatia to Ljubljana, Slovenia

Do any of you intrepid travelers know whether this is a reasonable rate for a rental car:
3-day rental from Split to Ljubljana - 327 Euro + 200 kuna international drop-off fee.
As someone noted in a previous post, the international drop-off fee for Thrifty isn't that bad. But this still seems like a lot of money.
Do folks have any ideas on how to do this more cheaply?
This is an online offer. Should we wait until we get into the country to comparison shop?

I know we're going too far too fast, but that's because we want to spend most of the time down south in Dubrovnik, Mostar, Hvar etc. I probably shouldn't have booked the flight out of Ljubljana, but I didn't spend enough time planning the itinerary before booking the flight. Oh well, live and learn.
Thanks for any thoughts you can offer.

We dropped our car in OPATIJA Croatia and then took the train to Ljubljana. AutoEurope shows 3 day rates Split to OPATIJA at around $150. Just make a faux booking to confirm (no or low) drop fee. Hope you are traveling Split to Plitvice lakes before going to Slovenia.

last sept we spent $700 for a week ljub to split including drop off fee thru thrifty/dollar online booking. looks like your deal is about $470 so things must have gone up. you are moving fast but its doable. definitely recommend plitvice on the way.

Thanks for your replies. It is really helpful to hear about rates people have been able to get. And yes, we're planning on visiting Plitvice!

I'm going to keep shopping around to see if I can do this itinerary any cheaper but will certainly consider the Opatija option.

Cheers.
