I`m in Prague now

I`m in Prague now, plan on another day or 2 here, than off to Czesky Krumlov, than to Salzburg 2 or 3 days, then to Hallstat and I fly home from Vienna on June 5th. Do you think I can get to Budapest too. I was thinking I could somehow go from Salzburg by train to Vienna and then go to Budapest on the Danube by boat, then train back to Vienna. Is it all possible, I would also like to go to Melk...

Are you planning this on the fly? Whew, what a way to go. If you really want to pack Budapest into that itinerary, then you'll have to plan:
Assuming you are doing all by train, take the rail from Prague to Budweis/Ceske Budejovice, transfer to the local train to Krumau/Cesky Krumlov, spend a night there. Budweis is a pretty large city with lots of accommodations, and if you want to go to Salzburg by train, you'll have to take the one to Freistadt and Linz anyway from Budweis.
Then take one of the many trains to Salzburg 80 mi. away. Alternative: lobo-bus from Krumau to Linz. Local public bus service goes to Kaplice or to Hohenfurth/Vyssi Brod and then to Austria.
Allocate 2 days in Salzburg (incl. 1 day to Hallstadt). Then by train to Vienna; you will have to get off in Melk, if you want to visit the abbey. At least 3 days in Vienna. If strapped for time, forget the boat to Budapest and do all by train. At least two nights in Budapest, and then back to Vienna.
