Hi,
I've jest booked a small apartment in Hydra for 7 days. We plan to do a few day trips from there and go on to spend 3 nights on Poros and then back to Athens for a day before our flight home. Has anybody out there been to Hydra? Do you thibk 7 days will be too many ? We're going the end of May into June. Thanks for any input!!!

If what you want is some relaxation, you are fine. If you want a different set of ruins and a museum every day, you'll probably deplete the options after a couple days on Hydra. You have beach, restaurants, and an interesting locale, so a week should be no problem. If terribly bored, you could hop the ferry for a daytrip to the mainland, maybe catch a bus to Epidaurus or other sites, or just to visit other towns.

That sounds very nice. I visited Hydra in 1997 and had a great time. I was only there for one day but I think it would be a great place to spend some relaxation time. No cars and hilly so be prepared to get a little exercise.
