We are taking a trip to Croatia in July, and have 3 nights to spend in the islands before heading to Dubrovnik for 5 days. I'm trying to decide between Hvar and Korcula thinking that we could see the island where we don't stay in a day trip. I would love the opinions of those of you who have been there - thank you!

I haven't been to Hvar but I enjoyed visiting Kortula alot! In the Guidebook I have, Rick has a section on Korcula but not Hvar. I'd be inclined to follow his recommendation. We enjoyed dinner at the Adio Mare--really great seafood. If you do decide on Korcula I'd check the ferry schedule when making plans because it doesn't always depart every day. The ferry line is Jadrolinija (www.jadrolinija.hr). Someone that's been to Hvar may have a different opinion.
