We will be spending 3-4 nights in Budapest. We want to do day trip or spend one night in wine country. We were thinking Eger. Can we do this in a day trip or is it recommended that we stay the night?

its about 2 hours to eger so it could be done in a day if you leave early. go to www.bahn.de to get train departures.

Spent an afternoon at the Valley of Beautiful Women sampling the variety of Hungarian wines. Stay over at least one night....smell the roses.
