how to use an iPad in Croatia

Does anyone know what I need to do to make my iPad work in Croatia? I am not too computer-savvy :-)
Thanks!

Linda, That's rather a "broad question". More specific information would be helpful. For example, are you referring to Wi-Fi use only, or 3G (cellular) service? Which model iPad are you using? In order to use the iPad Charger, you WILL need Plug Adaptors. Cheers!

Hi Ken, I'm taking an older iPad 1. I do not have 3G service... I planned to use WiFi only, but don't know if i also need a Sim card for the iPad? I just need some advice on what needs to be done to communicate there the cheapest and simplest way ( iPad and phone). I have an old phone that will work in Europe - I can change the SIM card in Croatia, but then i think it might not work in Bosnia-Herzegovina also, where i will be for a couple days. For making calls, I could get a phone card, rather than 2 SIM cards for 2 countries, but I know it's getting hard to find public places to use them. I apprecaite any advice and knowledge that anyone can give me.
Thanks!

Your iPad not only does not need a SIM card, but cannot take one. The WiFi standard is universal; you connect to WiFi in Croatia the same way you do in the US. You do need a plug adapter, but not a converter, to charge the iPad in Croatia. Rick sells them (link here); you want the one with two round prongs, or the lower one of the two in the picture on that page.
