How to get to Aquincum in Budapest?

My hotel is at the city center of Pest. How do I get to Aquincum? I see there is a station on the HEV. How does it work? What is the fare?

Pretty simple, actually. Take the Metro 2 to the Batthyany Ter stop and change to the HEV at the same station. The Batthyany Ter HEV station is the terminus, so the trains only go one way and there is only one train option, so you literally can not get on the wrong train. There is a different fare for the HEV, however, than the Metro. I don't recall the exact fare on the HEV, but it is only the equivalent of a dollar or two. Get off at the Megallo Aquincum stop (it is the 7th stop from where you got on), and you are basically in the ruins. Museum is right there, I don't think that you could get lost.

It's pretty easy to get to and definitely worth seeing. We were there last summer and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. One thing to watch out for, depending on the time of your visit: bees. For some reason (wasn't wearing perfume or anything) I got bombarded by bees the entire time. Never got stung, but it was still a little annoying. Other than that, though, it was a great experience. When you're on the train, you'll see Aquincum before you get off at the stop -- as the previous poster indicated, it's nearly impossible to miss.
