After all the discussions on this board about getting tickets from the Vatican directly, I thought I'd share our experience. We emailed last month for next month and were told to email a month in advance. So I emailed two days ago (five weeks in advance) and we got our second choice! Send the names of everyone in your party, your dates and times (I sent 15 minute increment choices), where we are staying and our USA contact info and heard back right away. The email I used was visiteguidate.musei@scv.va.
