How Much Scaffolding?

We were there in April, and of course it is disappointing to see the scaffolding and have it in your photographs, but most of us won't live long enough to wait until the scaffolding is gone. We were told it will be there for many, many years to come! It's still an awesome sight with wonderful history.

I hate to tell you, but there was some scaffolding in 1973. I wonder if there has ever been a scaffold free Parthenon? ; ) No matter as a previous poster noted it's still magnificent. Pam

If we could just get rid of the scaffolding and all those pesky tourists we'd have a fun time poking around up there huh.

Yeah, ray, but as one tourist said last year, why did they have to go and build the thing way up on the top of a big hill?
