What are your travel dates? Which village do you prefer? Do you want a full-service hotel, B&B or self-catering?

We will be going next July 2014 and I would like to stay either in Hotel or B&B. Was looking at places in Oia but they are so expensive!

It's true, most hotels with a view of the caldera can be very expensive, especially if you want breakfast or other services. Self-catering is a lot cheaper and there are plenty of markets for buying food. In Oia check Thea Studios (not the one in Fira), Old Oia Houses, Villa Kallisti and Casa Sofia. In Fira check Scirocco Apartments (There's even a pool there!). In Firostefani check Hotel Mylos, Sunset Hotel and Villa Maria Damigou.
