Hotels recommendations in the Rue Cher district of Paris, france

Could anyone give me hotel recommendations -not the big box hotels- but off the beaten path charme hotels in the rue Cher Area?

I think that you may mean the "Rue Cler" rather than the Rue Cher, which is quite a ways from the city center. Let me know if I am wrong, though, since the Rue Cher is not a bad area and does have it's own charm.

You will probably get more response to your question if you post this question under the "To the West" rather than "east" as more people who have traveled to Paris with that expertise will be in replying to those threads.

Having said that - I stayed at Hotel de Londres Eiffel and thought it was great. Clean, good location, very nice people run the place, wi-fi. I wouldn't eat breakfast there because it was really spendy and you can get great breakfast at any bakery.

It is just around the corner from Rue Cler.

Robert,

If you're referring to the "Rue Cler" area, two Hotels you might consider are the Duquesne Eiffel or the Hotel Muguet. Both are very comfortable and not "big box" Hotels.

As Amy mentioned, you'll probably get more replies by re-posting this in the "To The West" section.

Cheers!

I, of course, meant the Rue Cler Dist. We are planning a trip to Paris then on to The Italian Riviera. Possibly Portugal instead of the Riviera.

My wife myself, our son, Joe age 50 and our son Tim age 49.

Another great choice is the Hotel Relais Bosquet, about a block off Rue Cler. When we were there last month their very good breakfast was included. Very good-sized rooms and bathrooms by Paris standards and a very helpful staff.

O.K. guys enough... a spelling mistake! Give it up!!
He wants help not a lesson berating him. Do unto others.......
You may want to try the Hotel Turrene on Avenue Tourville.....it is about two easy walking blocks from Rue Cler. The price runs 79 Euro a night all year. It is close to the tower, ATM, markets, cafes, Les Invalides, and much more. You will love it..... we have stayed there a number of times and plan to go back next September. Good Luck Robert......hope you enjoy Paris!

Buy Rick Steves "Paris Guide Book" if you haven't already done so. Lots of hotel recommendations plus lots of important and useful Paris information.
