Any suggestions for inexpensive/reasonable priced hotels ,centraly located. We will be visiting 3-4 days over easter weekend. Thanks
Dianne, check out Hotel Central on Rybna street in Prague. Nice place, great location. www.central-prague.com
hotel imperial. beautiful renovated hotel with art deco tiling.
I have stayed in Prague three times, and always at the Cloisters. Sorry, but I do not remember the address, however, it is centrally located close to Charles Bridge and the Astrological Clock. It is clean, newly decorated, accommodating, and offers a delicious full buffet breakfast. I love it there. From its location, everything a tourist wants to see is within walking distance.
"centraly located." Do you mean by the Old Town, New Town, Castle, rail station or Wenceslas Sqaure? These areas are all separated from each other.
I am booked for this summer @ Cerny Slon for 4 or 5 nights. I haven't stayed there yet but I used to live in town and the location can't be beat (directly adjacent to the Tyn church in old town square). I believe my price is 70 euro/nt and the pictures look great! The reviews on trip advisor are overwhelmingly good as well. Breakfast is included each day.
I looked in to some of the other rick steves recommendations and they were all a little further away and/or a little more expensive. I don't care much for the charles bridge area in terms on housing - it is wall to wall people in the narrow alleys. Not that old town square is empty, but at least you get a little breathing room. I love visiting the bridge area, don't get me wrong. I think prices are also quite high right around the bridge.
hope this helps!
