Hotels in Oia, Santorini

We will be traveling to Santorini July 18th-21st on our honeymoon and really want to stay somewhere in Oia, with a view but still reasonably priced. We are on a bit of a budget but might be willing to splurge for the right view of the sunset. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels $200 and under (maybe a little over) in Oia??

Hello Michele-

Greetings from Cottage Grove.

In Oia in July your $200 won't go as far as you may think but here's a list with some possibilities. There are very few with a sunset view. But the rest of these have an excellent caldera view. Hopefully some of them still have vacancies for your dates in July.

Golden Sunset Villas, Marizan Villas, Old Oia Houses, Villa Kallisti, Casa Sofia, Lucky Homes, Filotera Villas, Chelidonia Villas, Delfini Hotel, Aspa Villas (superior studio-top floor), Fotinos Houses, Thea Studios, Stelios Rooms, Lena's House, House Nicoletta, .

Thanks Lee! These are great- very helpful! Now just need to narrow it down and choose one! I have a feeling it will be beautiful no matter where we stay.

I booked reservations at the Mill Houses Studios and Suites and couldn't be more excited. My girlfriend and I will be there in May so its a little cheaper then but it appears to be pretty close to your budget depending on the room you get.

Great view, appears to be very nice, and seems to be made in old windmills which is pretty unique.

Have fun!!!

The Mill Houses are great, but they're not in Oia and definitely not $200 or less in July........

Both have an excellent location in a quiet section of Oia and both have the same basic excellent view.

Thanks for all the helpful information.

Old Oia Houses is booked when we will be there, which is too bad because it looked like a great place to stay.

Now, I am debating between Villa Kallisti (the studio which is very small) and Casa Sofia. Can anyone tell me which is a better location/view, etc...?

Thank you!

Michele,

You might want to have a look at www.greektravel.com/ for information on Hotels. He has listings for many of the properties on Santorini, and lots of great information for sightseeing, etc.

Congratulations!

Is it OK in July to have a cave house with no air conditioning? There is an electrical fan provided but I'm worried that won't be enough.

The cave houses are about 10 degrees cooler but it will be VERY hot in July which can create a somewhat damp humidity inside a cave. A/C would be a most-welcome option to have.

Michele,

To add to my previous reply, you might try www.fantasytravelofgreece.com/ as they will be able to suggest good Hotels in the area you want to stay.

I'd suggest giving them information on not only your price range but also mention the occasion.

Good luck!
