Nafpaktos is a seemingly nice little city on the Greek mainland, close to the north side of the bridge from Rio (near Patra)to Andirre.
I'll be spending a night there in the last week in June and need an inexpensive hotel recomendation. Anybody here have an idea? Thanks.

You're right that Nafpaktos is a nice little place.
We've stayed in the Golden Beach which is fine, but nothing special

The fortress is huge, with great views across the Bay of Corinth. Halfway down the hill from here there are a couple of really nice bars, again with great views.

Your obviously a man after my own heart. Nothing I like more than tootling around in out of the way provincial towns!

Note the meze, which was free with the ouzo and the biggest I've ever seen. Eighteen months ago the ouzos were around 2 euros each - a bargain.
