Hotel recommendations in Piran and LJU

Will be in Piran Slovenia overnight and spending a week In LJU. Would like to stay in the historic area of LJU. Any recommendations for hotels in either city? Our budget is 80-100 euro per night. Judy Y

Hi Judy! We highly recommend www.apartmentsinljubljana.com They have studio apartments or something larger and they are great if you want your own privacy and space. Location is only a couple of blocks from the town centre in a cute little neighbourhood with its own restaurants, bars and bakery. If you still prefer a hotel then the Emonec is very central and is in the cheaper price range. www.hotel-emonec.com You dont say when you are going or how many people? A lot of people spend a little more and go for the charming little boutique hotels at the bottom end of the old town. Places like the Antiq Hotel, the Allegro and the Lesar Angel. See what you think of those. If you need more info, let me know, good luck :)

Thanks so much for your suggestions, Greg (also my husband's name!). We are going to look into the apartments. Judy Y

No worries Judy! We forgot to mention that in Piran probably best to stick with the 2 main hotels in Hotel Piran or Tartini since you're there for one night. Greg

In Ljubljana, you must stay in Hostel Celica. It's a hoot - it's a prison from the communist state of FRY. You get a cell, and they are comfy enough. Bath down the hall. There is a nice courtyard, and many locals come for drinks in the evening.

Hey Paul. Thanks for the tip but will pass on the old prison just because we really like our own bathroom. Otherwise might have checked it out. Always up for an adventure. Judy Y
