Hotel in Santorini Greece

Hello, I will be visiting Santorini this summer for 2 nights while Island Hopping. I'm needing suggestions for a nice affordable hotel that is near the cauldren. Would prefer one that has a Cauldren view if possible. Thanks in advance for the help! Erin

Hi Erin, I can help you with lots of suggestions but I need to know what your maximum daily room budget will be, in EURO, as well as which caldera-view village you prefer and your travel dates since prices change a couple of times during the season. Without this information I can only refer you HERE, where you can use the filter system to find what you want. For booking.com the villages with a caldera view are Fira, Firostefani, Imeroviglion and Oia but not every hotel has that view.

Take a look at Anemi House for a beautiful little cave house in Oia. Just spent 3 memorable days there and you won't be taken care of anywhere better than by Demetrios. Try anemi@oiahouserent.com and tell him Peter and Theresa sent you. Seriously, a great guy and splendid small cave house . an exceptional experience. Good Luck, he books up fast and we came prior to the season.

The cave house I recommended is about 25 feet from Kastro restaurant.

Erin, It doesn't have a Caldera view, but I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel Nissos Thira in Santorini. The rooms were very comfortable, they had a good pool and a nice breakfast. It's in the centre of the island, so fairly convenient to both ends. I found the prices to be very reasonable (you did specify "affordable"). One suggestion though - if you decide to stay there, ask for a room at the back. The front rooms are next to the street, so traffic noise can be an issue (especially from those @#$% Quads). Plan on drinking bottled water there (it's readily available), as the tap water is not that palatable. Happy travels!
