Looking for best hotel in Athens going on May cruise with Princess . Need to find hotel that is near Pireus port and not spend a alot of money getting to the hotel from the airport... Need immediate answers having a nervous breakdown.

If you stay at a hotel in Central Athens near the Monastiraki Metro Station you will be able to easily catch the Blue Line Metro from the airport to the hotel(45 minutes/€8pp) and the Green Line Metro from the hotel to the ferry port (20 minutes/€1.4pp). The Metro begins running at around 5:30am. Taxi - fixed day rate from the airport to Athens = €35. Check the Pella Inn, Metropolis Hotel, Attalos Hotel, Plaka Hotel and Amazon Hotel. These are the closest affordable hotels to the Monastiraki station, all within 5-10 minutes' walk. If you don't want to go into Central Athens Peri's Hotel out by the airport will pick you up and return you to the airport for free between 7am and 11:30pm. There is an Airport Express X96 bus from outside Door 5 on the Arrivals Level of the airport that will take you to Piraeus for €5. http://www.perishotelapt.gr
