Prague: Hotel Ventana 5 Star, expensive, great location, great service. Only placed i have stayed in Prague so i can't make any comparative comments. But it was one of the nicer hotels we have ever stayed in and that compensated some for our overall opinion of Prague. http://www.ventana-hotel.net/

What is your budget? How many of you are traveling? What amenities do you require? Have you looked at Rick's recommendations for these cities? When are you traveling? Etc, etc. Give us more information, and others can help you.

Hotel Maximalian in Prague. Business class type hotel, very classy, cheap at the time we were traveling and the best breakfast bar I have ever had. We don't usually stay at this kind of hotel, but the price was so good,we thought a bit of luxury isn't a bad thing. Short walk to town square, very convenient.

In Prague last month we stayed in the Hotel Hastal (its not a hostel!). Was in a former version of the RS guidebook and may still be. Very close the old town square and to the Jewish quarter. We recommend it.
Good luck.
