Hot springs in Santorini?

Hello there-I will be visiting Santorini in about a month and heard there are natural hot springs there. If so, I was wondering if anyone has visited them and found this to be a worthwhile activity while on the island. Thanks in advance! China

The "hotsprings" is actually a body of lukewarm seawater in a small cove on the perimeter of the new volcanic island. Boats are not allowed into the cove. You will pay for boat to take you there on a full- or half-day excursion daytrip that includes other stops, and then you must swim about 50 meters in the sea to reach it. The water is sulphuric smelling and murky and will permanently stain your clothing. For me it is not worth it.

Everything is as Lee says. I swam there at the beginning of November so the contrast between water in the cove and open sea was quite big and at the bottom of the cove there are really hot springs mixing with the sea water. On the swim back to the boat sea water seemed really cold. I was lucky. My swimming suit didn't experience any staining.

Hey there-thanks so much for the advice. Looks like there are plenty of great beaches for swimming so I guess we'll stick to those. Thanks again!
