Has anyone just gone down to the docks to seek out a boat owner who'd be willing to play tour guide for the day?
I've done this successfully in Mexico and been taken to beaches I never would have seen on just the water taxi.
But then again, the guys in their Pangas are sitting around, ready-for-hire.
Is there anything remotely like that to be found in Dubrovnik?
That is a tourist center; so my guess is that you can hire a boat on the dock.
If you dont get an answer on this page, when you arrive, go to the dock and ask your questions. I,too, have been on cruises where I walked to the dock and found taxi drivers to do a personal guided tour. So you may find that possible in your case.
