Help: Venice to Greek Islands

Hello,

I'm an MBA student and I'll be studying abroad in Italy this summer for about 6 weeks in Asolo, near Venice. For one of my 3 day weekend trips I would like to visit anywhere in Greece (preferably Athens, Mykonos or Santorini). I am currently trying to find an affordable way to get from Venice to anywhere in Greece and it seems to be near impossible unless I want to spend $400 plus on a plane ticket.

Do you have any advice on how I can get to Greece in a more affordable fashion.

My travel period would be Thursday evening until Sunday evening.

Thank you so much.

I'm afraid that with only 3 days you won't get far unless you fly. The ferry from Venice to Patras takes around 34 hours, then you still have to get to Athens for the ferry to one of the islands. Even with the best connections that will add at least 12 hours to the journey.

There is a ferry from Venice to Corfu, but it takes over 25 hours.

You can see prices and schedules here:

Once you're in Venice perhaps you can find a discounted airline ticket from a local travel agency. Good luck!
