Hi, I read in Rick's book that during peak season there are 2 busses per day running from Korcula to Dubrovnik (I quote Rick: "peak season: 2/day, 3.5 hours; offseason: Mon-Sat 1/day with an early departure"). I've gone nuts looking but can't find anything other than the early morning bus. If anyone knows of a second bus daily out of Korcula during peak season to Dubrovnik, I'd really appreciate it. My itinerary has us leaving from Korcula to Dubrovnik on Wednesday 31 August, so neither the catamaran nor the car ferry are running that day (bummer). I only see the 0645 bus or a private minibus from Korkyra Travel at 0800. Any other ideas for getting off that island in the early afternoon to Dubrovnik? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think Rick's information might be outdated. According to my favorite website regarding travel in Croatia, the following is stated: "There's an early morning bus every day (and an extra on Sunday) from Korcula to Dubrovnik." I ask because allegedly there are several ferries a day between Korcula (Dominice) and Orebic, so if you drove from Dubrovnik to Orebic and parked your car, then perhaps you'd have greater flexibility on when you leave the island. It sure does seem a bit crazy that you don't have many transportation options though, doesn't it?!
