Do they have elevators/lifts? What was your experience? Good location?

My memory is a little fuzzy but since I clearly remember EVERY hotel without a lift, I have to say that I'm pretty sure Hotel Adonis did have an elevator. The hotel is well located on a quiet street in the middle of the Plaka. The terrace roof bar/breakfast room has a beautiful view of the Acropolis and serves a pretty nice breakfast. I remember that the lobby was always smoky but the staff was pleasant and of the three hotels we stayed in Athens, Hotel Adonis was the best, however, I say that with some reservation because the other two were pretty bad. Our room there was clean but pretty worn. However, our stay was also two years ago, some changes may have happened. They did get an english station on the tv, so you won't miss an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger!
(No, I don't actually like Walker, Texas Ranger but watching it in Greece was fodder for many an interesting dinner conversation).
