Can someone please describe the hamam experience? We will have four days in Istanbul in May and I wonder if this is worth the time. Not sure I would enjoy this but curious about it-we did love the baths(pools) in Budapest but the hamam sounds entirely different.

Susan, I went to one in Istanbul in October. I was nervous, but it was a great experience and I'm so glad I did it.
I chose one recommended in the RS Istanbul book, and it was probably more expensive than some of the others, but I felt easier about going there rather than to just choosing at random.
