Gulets in Turkey

Has anyone taken a gulet trip in Turkey? My family wants to do that for a week in August, and we don't know the best port to leave from. We are nature lovers who want to snorkel as well as see beautiful (and hopefully remote) places. We don't want to be around a ton of party boats. Ideas? Thanks!

Hi Toni - Bodrum is one of the major Gulet ports in Turkey and YES -= They are incredible. Generally speaking the Captain has a mate and a cook and goes where you tell him to go. The rent per week is negotiable , to a point, and if there are more than two people that's OK too.
Two of my best friends are from Kusadasi and Istanbul so, if you need specific Captain's let me know.

Hi Toni,

I have not personally been on a gulet trip or used this line but it was recommended to us by a friend from Turkey. It's Blue Voyage Cruise. You might ask for recommendations before you commit to a week-long cruise.
