We'll be spending 2 days in Athens on our own at the end of our cruise in a couple of weeks. Does anyone have recent experience about safety/protests in the Plaka/Acropolis area? We're staying at Hotel Phaedra (in RS book) in the Plaka and don't really intend to venture out beyond the historical areas nearby. If you think we need a private driver and/or guide and have any recommendations, it would be very helpful. Thank you.
