guidebooks for Russia (Moscow & St. Petersberg)

Can anyone recommend any "off the beaten path" guidebooks for Russia (Moscow & St. Petersberg specifically) that you really love and found helpful? I'm looking for something besides the usual LP, Frommer's, Fodor's, etc. Something maybe conversational and fun? You know, until Rick starts putting them out. ;) Thanks!!

I don't know that they're necessarily fun, but you could try the online In Your Pocket guides - http://inyourpocket.com/ Have you looked into Bradt, Cadogan, Odyssey, Footprint? I used Trailblazer for Moscow and St. P., but it was the Trans-Siberian Handbook - more than you need.
