The worst thing happened today on the final stop of my Eastern Europe trip. My Rick Steves Guidebook went missing. Sadly, I feel in a panic, which is a testament to how useful and helpful his books are. I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on places to eat. I remember most of the sites he recommended, but finding quality restaurants among all the random stuff is going to be hard to do. If anyone has any advice please let me know. Thanks Craig

Personally I think there comes a time when you junk the Guide Book (Rick's or others) and just go out and follow your nose. If it smells good, if its busy with locals, and if the food looks good why not give it a go! I think Rick would approve - it is all part if the ETBD experience!

We have never used a guidebook to find places to eat and have never gone hungry nor thirsty.
