Guest house Lida @ Prague - how close is it to the main attractions?

I am considering booking a room at Guesthouse Lida as it fits my budge, and also for many good reviews on trip advisior and here.

My main concern is the distance to various main tourist attractions (Prague Castle, Charles Bridge), it seems to be a little far from google map. This is my first time in Prague (as well as Europe), I only have 3 days in Prague (1st day I will be arriving around noon from Berlin, 3rd day I have a 3:30pm plane to catch), I am not sure if Guesthouse Lida would be a good location for me, or I should look for somewhere that is more central?

You'll get a lot more information on Guesthouse Lida on Tripadvisor...

...Although Arcadia Residence seems to get the lion's share of rave wonderful reviews. We're staying at one of Arcadia's apartments located dead center of the old town square. Yes, I would recommend staying somewhere close to the center especially for a newbie:

I think it's too far out, given the time you've got.

Public transport in Prague is good but you'd still spend time getting too and from the centre: about 2 miles by my estimate.

Not impossible but probably a bit much if you've effectively only one full day.

We stayed at Guesthouse Lida this past July. The owners are very helpful and they will drive you to from the airport ,etc... for a very reasonable price. The guesthouse is a 5 minute walk to the local tram or subway. The tram system is very easy to navigate and it is only about a 15 minute ride into the Charles Bridge area.

I am deciding between Lida and a studio in the middle of Old Town ( a friend of mine stayed there 2 months ago), she said that it took her 10-15 mins to walk to the main attractions, so maybe that is a better location, consider that I only have 1 day there.

thanks very much guys!
