Do Greek ferries keep the same schedule on national holidays? We will be in Greece over May 1, and the schedule I am looking for (Piraeus to Hydra) has not yet been posted on www.ferries.gr. Does anyone have suggestions for things that will be open on May 1?

www.gtp.gr shows 54 proposed ("not officially approved yet") schedules for Piraeus>Hydra and not one of them is for Saturday, May 1. Either more will be added or there is no ferry on the 1st. You'll just have to wait and see.

We were in Greece in '08 and we learned that Greek ferry companies only publish their schedules about 2 months in advance. It's because they have to submit them to the ministry or something for pre-approval. So the May 1 schedule will probably appear pretty soon, just keep checking.
