Greece weather in OCt

Michelle It depends where in Greece, which part of October, and how hardy you are! We've certainly swum comfortably in the first ten days of October in various places. In Crete people swim most of the year and it's obviously more comfortable, later in the year, to swim on the more southern islands than in the north. I've seen people swimming in Nafplio, which is very sheltered, in December. On the other hand people swim in England on Christmas Day and I wouldn't want to try it personally! If you are keen you might. It's worth remembering the sea cools down more slowly than the land and so it can be OK to swim but not to linger on the beach. Alan
