HELP! We are a family of four (two teen girls) and have the option of going to Greece or Germany/Switzerland/Austria this summer for about 10 days. We are torn because we went to Italy last summer and we are wondering if Greece will be too similiar? We need to make flight reservations ASAP and need the help of all you seasonded travelers!! I can see that so far no one has wanted to take a shot at your question, which is difficult to answer. I would not want to say that Italy is similar to Greece. But if you are looking for something that is different from Greece, then Germany/Switzerland/Austria is more different from Greece than is Italy. The good news is, either one would be a great trip!

Do the Germany/Austria/Switzerland option. They will definitely be different than Italy. Greece will be somwhat similar. Let me know if you need specific info re GAS. TC

I would lean toward Germany/Switzerland/Austria, especially because of the weather.
Greece would be unbelievably hot in the summer (my husband and I put off our Greece honeymoon until September for this reason). And very crowded (although, really, in the summer, lots of places are crowded).
I imagine G/S/A will be beautiful that time of the year.

Thanks! I think we are leaning towards Germany/Austria/Switzerland in part because it will be very different and also because of the heat. Any thoughts on a ten day travel schedule through G/A/S? Thanks again! Tina
