Does anyone have any experience renting a car for U-Save auto rental or Swift Car Rentals?

Juanita, be sure to go to your local AAA office to pick up an International Driving Permit, no test or membership required, for $15 plus a photo fee if you don't bring 2 passport photos with you. Plan to pick up your rental at the airport and drive around Athens, not through it, to get to wherever it is on the mainland you want to go. Driving inside Central Athens is a nightmare and parking is next to impossible. If your plan is to rent a car on one of the islands you'll find a better price if you wait until you're there and do a little comparison shopping.

I have used Swift and had a very good experience. They will pick you up at your hotel if you need, kind of like Enterprise here in the US. You MUST have an IDP described above. It is very possible that your own insurance will not cover you in Greece, or even your credit card, so do buy the full CDW coverage.
