Greece in November 07-help!

My friend and I will be visiting greece from Nov 3 to about the 15th. I would like to see at least 1 greek island, maybe Mykonos, but the ferry schedules dont list any boats during that time. Can anyone suggest the best island to see in Novemeber and how we can get there? We are on a tight budget so we need something decent but cheap. Thanks!

Being a tourist economy, many of the islands basically close up shop Nov-Feb. There probably are ferries, but fewer than during the summer, and much more dependent on weather. Another option might be to visit the Saronic Gulf Islands, like Hydra. They are an easy ferry from Athens, or a short hop from the Peloponnese.

Milos is a very inexpensive island. I can look up an address later that you could contact about what is open.
Also you can fly to Crete. It is the island that is south. It has lots of small places and neat places to eat.

Both of these islands had people that are very friendly. We can't wait to go back.

Would anyone know about the ferry to Hydra? I keep trying to look up tickets online for November but it says its not available.

Go to WWW.greektravel.com, Matt Barrett's site. He does state that often the ferries to the Saronic gulf islands are not listed, though there are as many as 10 a day. November the number would be fewer, but still service. He does say to e-mail him for info.
