We just got back from a 2 weeks in Europe and our favorite part was the time spent in Ljubljana. The town is very compact which made walking a breeze. We loved eating outside by the river, with all of the people walking by. The architecture by Joze Plecnik was very interesting and really seemed to fit into the Ljubljana scene.
We started off our time with a 2 hour tour with Barbara Jakopic, who was recommended by the co-author of Rick's Croatia and Slovenia book. If anyone is visiting Ljubljana, I'd really recommend Barbara - she got us oriented with the city, explained about Plecnik, told about the history all the way back to the Roman times - plus lots of recommendations for dinner and treats!
