Goddess trip to Malta and Gozo

I am trying to find information on traveling to Malta - specifically to visit the archeological sites related to Goddess study. I would be grateful for any information that is passed on. Sandy

Go to aboutmalta.com. Perhaps you already know that the temple sites there predate the pyramids and stonehenge by 1000 years and the people were goddess worshiping, big hips and all. too bad there was a drought and they all had to move off. One archeologist I met in a hotel in Valletta told me he thought the ruins on Gozo were the remnants of Atlantis. In any case, it is easy to get around by bus; the island is small and all bus routes radiate from Valletta, stay there and not in the tourist areas catering to "holiday" folks. To get to Gozo, you take a bus to the ferry and then another bus. But if you are short of time, skip Gozo, because the main island has many more goddess temple sites. Be absolutely sure to make a reservation for the underground temple, the Hypogeum, at Tarxian, where they discovered the little reclining goddess you see reproduced everywhere; admission is limited to a few and you really do need to book online. And go to all the museums to see other statues etc . Good news too that Malta has English as its main language, so that you can ask questions everywhere. You will love it!!
