Does anyone have experience planning a wedding in Athens, Greece. We will be there for a few days in early October and want to get married in Athens. Thanks!

Have no experience with a wedding in Athens but did do a couple of other destination weddings. Are you asking about a true, legal wedding or just a ceremony? If you want a recognized, legal wedding there could be some huge hurdles to jump over. Go to the Greek Embassy web site and look for that information. The next issues is location. You may have to use your local church for contacts. The two wedding we were involved became so complicated that both couples were wed in the US and then had a ceremony abroad. One before and one after. Good luck.
