My husband & I will be travelling from Zurich to Split in May. It is only a 1.5 hr flight, but currently the prices are very high for such a short time in the air! Is there any other efficient way to get from one destination to the other or are we stuck with flying? Thanks sooooo much!

Did you check this discount airline: http://www.germanwings.com/en/ They have direct flight between both cities. Also, you might save money by purchasing a roundtrip ticket and "throwing away" the unused portion.

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Unfortunately, even this discount airline is over $600 pp (USD) roundtrip. I am hoping to find a way to get there and back for somewhere in the $450-500 range if possible.
